Ivan Popov, Ilya Ivanov and Roman Tkachev, RIPI specialists, have been announced the winners of the All-Russian Photo Contest “Roscosmos. Unifying heritage”. They have taken the second place in the category for participants aged 18 years and older.
The Photo Contest was organized by Roscosmos to commemorate holding the Year of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation in 2022.
The photos, taken on the territory of one of the Russian “space cities”, where Roscosmos companies or objects of space ground-based infrastructure are located, were allowed for participation in the Photo Contest.
In total, the Contest Committee received 293 applications from 44 different regions across the country. Additionally, residents of the city of Baikonur and the Donetsk People's Republic also took part at the Contest.
Our company exhibited at the Contest the photos, taken by the RIPI specialists Ivan Popov, Ilya Ivanov and Roman Tkachev during their business trips in Antarctica, where they annually carry out maintenance operations for the Antarctic ERS Regional Center equipment.
Ilya Ivanov said in an interview:
- It’s been a big surprise to me that our photo, captured the ground-based complex for ERS data acquisition and processing, placed at Progress station against the background of one of the most beautiful Antarctica evening landscapes, was named among the winners of the All-Russian Photo Contest. Antarctica in itself is unforgettable, the prize in the competition for the photo taken there, all that inspires and encourages us to return to the Sixth Continent.
The winners were awarded with commemorative prizes.
