PURPOSE of the COMPLEX

  • reception of ERS data via High-Rate Radio Link (HRRL) channels from the ERS spacecraft (“Resurs-P”, “Kanopus-V”, “Meteor-M”, “Terra”, “Aqua”, “SPOT”, “Radarsat”, “NOAA”, “NPP”):
    • in X-band (7.7–8.4 GHz) using two channels with a maximum data rate of up to 600 Mbit/s (up to 300 Mbit/s along each channel)
    • in L-band (1.69–1.71 GHz ) with a data rate of up to 1.33 Mbit/s
  • data exchange via “LUCH” Multi-purpose Space Relay System (MSRS) in Ku-band with a data rate of up to 70 Mbit/s
  • demodulation, decoding, reconstruction of frame structure, registration of acquired science and housekeeping data
  • automated generation and issuing requests for conducting surveys by the ERS spacecraft
  • automated processing of data, obtained by ERS spacecraft
  • output formats: TIFF, IMG, SHAPE, PDS, KDF, H5, RAW
  • cataloging, archiving and storage of data

SYSTEM STRUCTURE

  • antenna complex for reception and transmission
  • data processing module
